QR-Memory.eu — Memories – Stories – Remembrance
One afternoon, as the sun was slowly sinking towards the horizon, the Novák family set out for the cemetery. It was a quiet place, full of memories and stories whispered by the shadows of old trees.
The father, Petr, led his two children — little Tomáš and younger Anička — by the hand. Their mother, Jana, carried a small bunch of white flowers. The path ran between old headstones until it reached one covered by a mossy veil of time.
“Who is buried here?” Tomáš asked, his small fingers holding tightly to his father.
Petr smiled and knelt down so that he was at the same height as his son. “Your great-grandfather rests here, children. He was a man full of stories and wisdom.”
Jana laid the flowers by the headstone and joined them. “Great-grandfather was a wonderful storyteller. He loved being able to share his stories and his memories of the old days.”
Anička looked up curiously. “What did he look like, mummy?”
“He was a tall man with a deep voice and a spark in his eyes,” Jana answered, love in her voice. “He had big, strong hands, but his touch was always gentle. He wore an old hat that he was fond of, and he would often sit in a rocking chair, telling stories and smoking his old pipe.”
Petr went on: “When we were little, like you, he used to take us for walks in the forest. He showed us animal tracks and taught us to listen to nature.”

The children listened, picturing their great-grandfather walking through the forest, telling stories and laughing. The air was full of nostalgia and love.
“Each of us has our own stories, children,” Petr said as he stood up. “And one day you will have your stories too, to pass on.”
The family looked at the headstone in silence for a while before slowly making their way home. Anička asked: “Will we come back, so we can remember more stories about great-grandfather?”
“Of course,” Jana smiled. “Memories and stories are like a bridge between the past and the present. They help us never to forget those we have loved.”
And so the Novák family went on passing down their stories and their memories, learning from the past and creating memories for the generations to come.
